Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. (NYSE: VRX) offered a premium of approximately $46 billion in cash and stock to acquire Allergan Inc. (NYSE: AGN). Shares of Valeant surged $9.73 to $135.74 while Allergan stock jumped $22.80 to $164.80.
