Third quarter earnings for Hot Topic Inc. (Nasdaq: HOTT) fell to 13 cents per share from 17 cents per share in the year ago period as same store sales dropped and the retailer forecast disappointing fourth quarter results prompting a downgrade. The stock price lost 87 cents to $5.80.
