Research in Motion Ltd. (Nasdaq: RIMM) impressed with higher third quarter earnings of $1.10 per share compared with 69 cents per share last year that topped analyst estimates as sales surged prompting upgrades. Shares of the BlackBerry maker soared $6.54 to $70.00.
