Tyco Electronics Ltd. (NYSE: TEL) will acquire ADC Telecommunications Inc. (Nasdaq: ADCT) for approximately $1.24 billion. Shares of Tyco rose 98 cents to $26.26 while ADC stock leaped $3.66 to $12.51.
