Pennsylvania Teen Designs GameStop’s 2010 Make-A-Wish® Holiday Gift Card

One of GameStop Corp’s (NYSE: GME) most popular holiday gift cards honors the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and this year’s card should prove to be no exception. The 2010 holiday card features original artwork from an actual wish kid, 14-year-old Brett from York, Pennsylvania. Brett’s design, which depicts owls frolicking in a fun holiday setting, is now available in more than 4,500 GameStop stores in the U.S. and online at www.GameStop.com. The world’s largest video game and entertainment software retailer supports the world’s largest wish-granting organization by donating $1 for every gift card sold, up to $100,000, between now and Dec. 12. This program is currently in its third year.

“Our relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation is a special one for GameStop and our 50,000 associates,” said Chris Olivera, vice president of corporate communications and public affairs. “Each of us embraces the role we play in helping the Make-A-Wish Foundation fulfill its mission of granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

“Gift cards are a popular and growing choice for shoppers who are unsure what video games or accessories to purchase,” Olivera continued. “Add the fact our customers can choose, at no additional expense to them or the gift recipient, a gift card benefiting such a wonderful charity as the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and it’s no surprise that this card is always a quick sell-out.”

GameStop supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation as a national sponsor by helping fulfill gaming and shopping spree wishes from children across the country. The company has been a corporate sponsor for the Foundation since 2007. For more information, visit www.GameStop.com.
