Stanwood, WA - At the Stanwood home of Leslie Joy Hughes-where her newly launched Joyful Soaps business operates, there is much holiday cheer to be shared, and it is not just in the form of holiday cookies, festive music, and the Christmas tree. The pine, cinnamon, spruce, gingerbread, and peppermint bouquets emanating from her handcrafted, fragrant Joyful Soaps reflect the real ‘joy’ of the holiday season.

“The holidays are a wonderful time of year, in large part, because of the sweet scents that make us feel so good,” said Hughes, Founder and Soap Maker at Joyful Soaps, a home-based, handmade soap business established this fall in Stanwood. “These ‘Holiday Jubilee’ soaps--Frankincense & Myrrh, Cranberry Fig, Gingerbread, and Santa’s Spruce represent the special scents and arousing aromas we want filling our homes during the holidays. They also evoke feelings of celebration and joy.”

An experienced soap maker who considers herself part artist and part scientist, Hughes offers other lines of Joyful Soaps that include a sweet and sumptuous variety-Carrot Cake, Almond Biscotti, and Soothing Honey, as well as floral and fruity ‘Joyful Expressions’ such as Peach, Love & Mango, Strawberry Lemonade, and Buttercream.
