If you like wine, you will love Doc Adams Wines. In fact, Doc Adams Wines recently won the trophy for Best White Wine at the 5th Interwine Wine Expo in Guangzhou in China. The wine that won the trophy was the 2009 McLaren Vale Chardonnay.

The 5th Annual Interwine Wine Expo, which was held over a three day period, consisted of over 150 wine distributors promoting their top wines from 17 international countries. The Best White Wine trophy was handed out on the second day, which consisted of extensive judging by international wine representatives, journalists, as well as expert sommeliers.

The winning white wine was a result of collaboration between Joe Petrucci, who provided the wine grapes, Mark Hastwell, who assisted in the grape supply, and Adam Jacobs from Doc Adams Wines.

When asked about the trophy awarded in China, Adams had this to say, "The Chinese market is developing for us and we are so pleased to win a trophy. The wine was made for this market and its marketing through Nodens Group. The label design I feel will be very successful here. It’s great to compete internationally and we look forward to defending the title next year.”

Doc Adams Wines was started in 2005 by Orthopaedic Surgeon and vineyard owner Dr. Darren Waters who provides the 'Doc' and Adam Jacobs who provide the 'Adam' to the company name. The two partners set out to select only the very best red wine varieties from McLaren Vale, South Australia and to source other white wine varieties from other cool climates in order to provide the best wines.
