Foundation Gives Samaritan Ministries $5,000 Grant

Samaritan Ministries International will use a $5,000 grant for renovation of its new building.

Samaritan Ministries International has received a $5,000 grant from the Gatley Family Fund of the Northwest Christian Community Foundation, based in Portland, Oregon.

Samaritan, a health care sharing ministry, will use the grant to help pay for renovation of its recently purchased building in northern Peoria, Illinois. The ministry needed to buy the building in December 2010 thanks to recent membership growth. More than 16,000 households are now members of Samaritan.

“We’re excited about the generosity of the Northwest Christian Community Foundation and the Gatley Family and will attempt to put the money to best use for the renovation of the building,” said Ted Pittenger, president and founder of Samaritan Ministries.
