Youth Orchestras Second Concert of Season Allure of the Americas

North Texas Youth Orchestra (NTYO) to hold “Allures of Americas” concert on February 20, 2011. This will be the second concert of the 2010-2011 Concert Season; NTYO recently awarded the Grace Note Award by the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving


The North Texas Youth Orchestra (NTYO) presents its second concert in its 2010-2011 concert season. The Concert will be Sunday, February 20 at 2:30 p.m., at the St. Andrew United Methodist Church.

The NTYO’s Concert February 20th showcases the NTYO orchestra at its finest. The afternoon program listeners will be treated to American Rhapsody by Richard Meyer, Variations on a Shaker Melody by Aaron Copland, Danzas de Panama by William Still, The Typewriter by Leroy Anderson and Espana by Chabrier General admission $10 and available at the door or online at northtexasyouthorchestra.org.

Led by Music Director and Principal Conductor Julianne Booth, North Texas Youth Orchestra (NTYO) provides opportunities for young musicians to serve their community, enrich lives through the performance of music, elevate the awareness of the arts throughout North Texas and motivate young adults to excel as musicians and community members. NTYO is a community service oriented; non-profit full orchestra serving young musicians between the ages of 14 to 18.

NTYO is a full symphony orchestra and auditions are currently open for all sections. NTYO is a community service oriented, non-profit full orchestra serving young musicians between the ages of 14 to 18. Membership in the school orchestra is strongly encouraged and will only serve to strengthen the musical foundation of NTYO members.
