3D Inspection Systems Launches New Mobile App for the Windows Phone 7

New Windows Phone 7 app helps home inspectors create home inspection reports in the field conveniently from their mobile phone.


The world’s leading home inspection software company, 3D Inspection Systems, has announced the release of a new Windows Phone 7 app. The new app is designed for home inspectors looking to utilize their desktop report writing software in the field.

The new mobile app has been created specifically for the Windows Phone 7. Microsoft® originally announced a completely new phone platform, Windows® Phone 7 (WP7), at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 15, 2010. Windows Phone 7 is an entirely new platform with an entirely redesigned interface and operating system.

“The new Windows Phone 7 is different than any prior windows mobile type device,” points out Carl Fowler, the co-founder of 3D Inspection Systems. Carl considers the Windows Phone 7 the most user friendly Windows-based phone ever. The new WP7 interface and capabilities mean that features that never would be possible in Windows® Mobile can now be achieved. The new WP7 app can build custom reports just like the popular 3D desktop home inspection software. The new interface allows users to flick the report sections up or down using the touch screen. Since the WP7 devices include a built in camera, users can take pictures, and directly insert them into report area.

The Phone3D mobile app can be found at the Windows® Phone Marketplace. The new app also includes synchronization with "the cloud". 3D Inspection Systems will be providing new Cloud3D„ Services for transfer of inspection reports to and from your phone. “With no more inspectors struggling to setup their Pocket PCs to transfer files, we believe that Microsoft® has gotten this one right,” says Carl.
