N-Control Ships the Avenger XBOX 360 Accessory at an Introductory Low Price and Announces a PS3 Version Due in the Third Quarter of 2011

Gaming accessory manufacturer N-Control announced today that the The Avenger, an external adapter for the Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) XBOX 360® controller designed to enhance speed, agility, and overall gameplay, will commence shipping immediately. N-Control representatives are excited about this official, international shipping event, and as a result, have decided to offer a special introductory price of $39.99, a 33% reduction from the projected retail price of $59.99.

The Avenger, which promises to enhance gamers’ reaction time and situational awareness, garnered significant media coverage at CES 2011 in Las Vegas this year. Consequently, XBOX 360 gamers are looking forward to its official shipment today. “But PS3™ gamers also have reason to rejoice,” said David Kotkin, the lead developer of The Avenger. N-Control is developing a similar model for the Sony (NYSE:SNE) PlayStation 3® (PS3™) entertainment system, which shares the console gaming market with Microsoft’s XBOX 360. “Production for the PS3 model is slated to begin this spring,” added Kotkin, “and we can expect to start shipping in the third quarter of 2011.” The PS3 model contains the same levers, adjusters, straps, and stabilizer stand as its predecessor and therefore promises to deliver the same “ultimate advantage” as the XBOX 360 model.

Additionally, N-Control is developing a Special Edition Avenger, designed to outfit the new Razer™ Onza XBOX 360 controller. The concept behind this pairing is to further increase the benefits provided by each product: “a modified, or ‘modded,’ controller like the Razer Onza may be just as impressive as the Avenger, but by combining both products, we can successfully enable gamers to extend their capacities and benefit from even greater capabilities.” The Special Edition Avenger for the Razer Onza is currently in product development and is expected to ship during the fourth quarter of 2011.
