Although PODS Charleston has served the local community since 2002, John and Evan Lennon, a father and son team originally from Fayetteville, NC recently bought the South Carolina franchise. It is the second franchise for the family who also owns PODS Raleigh in North Carolina, purchased nearly five years ago.

With an extensive background in finance and professional service industries, Evan was immediately interested in the PODS model as a growing business opportunity.

“PODS is a business that works and makes sense, a very up-and-coming business,” Evan said. “It was a little bit of a risk for us but the timing was right when we purchased our first franchise in Raleigh and now the timing seems to be right in Charleston.”

“Because Charleston is in a geographic location considered to be low country and experiences very humid temperatures, we run our air-conditioners continuously when humidity increases and all through the summer months,” Evan said.

Service areas surround an approximate 60-mile radius from Charleston. For customers who store containers in PODS Storage Centers, access is available Monday-Saturday with a 24-hour notice at no charge. Delivery and pick-up schedules offer convenient and flexible timeframes.
