GameStop and Rockstar Games Announce Pre-order Exclusive for Video Game L.A. Noire

GameStop (NYSE: GME), the world’s largest multichannel retailer of video games, and Rockstar Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), are proud to announce that customers who pre-order the video game L.A. Noire at a GameStop store or at www.GameStop.com will receive access to two exclusive pieces of downloadable content. “The Naked City” Vice Case and The Badge Pursuit Challenge will be available to customers via a download code at time of purchase.

“We are particularly excited to be partnering with Rockstar Games on L.A. Noire as it is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated video games in the first half of 2011,” said Bob McKenzie, senior vice president of merchandising at GameStop. “The robust nature of the exclusive content is exactly what our customers have come to expect from Rockstar Games and GameStop.”

“The Naked City” Vice Case and The Badge Pursuit Challenge

“The Naked City” is a standalone case from L.A. Noire’s Vice Desk. In this case, detective Cole Phelps investigates the supposed suicide of a stunning fashion model. Can you help Cole unravel the truth in a city blighted by drugs, corruption and greed, where the death of a beautiful woman is never as straightforward as it seems?

The Badge Pursuit Challenge unlocks 20 hidden police badges around the beautifully captured recreation of 1947 Los Angeles to find and collect. If you can find all 20 of these badges, the dapper Button Man suit will be unlocked which provides extra ammo for all weapons. Each badge also provides five additional XP which will help further unlock Intuition Points – special credits that can be used to give Phelps a key investigative insight when you need it most. Los Angeles is a massive city, so players will have to search far and wide, covering every corner, parking lot and alleyway in search of the badges.

L.A. Noire will be available May 17, 2011 for $59.99 on Xbox 360® and PlayStation®3. For more information or to pre-order L.A. Noire, visit www.GameStop.com/lanoire.

About L.A. Noire

Amid the post-war boom of Hollywood's Golden Age, Cole Phelps is an LAPD detective thrown headfirst into a city drowning in its own success. Corruption is rampant, the drug trade is exploding, and murder rates are at an all-time high. In his fight to climb the ranks and do what’s right, Phelps must unravel the truth behind a string of arson attacks, racketeering conspiracies and brutal murders, battling the L.A. underworld and even members of his own department to uncover a secret that could shake the city to its rotten core.

Using groundbreaking new animation technology that captures every nuance of an actor's facial performance in astonishing detail, L.A. Noire is a violent crime thriller that blends breathtaking action with true detective work to deliver an unprecedented interactive experience. Search for clues, chase down suspects and interrogate witnesses as you struggle to find the truth in a city where everyone has something to hide.
