The Department of Justice filed an antitrust suit to prevent VeriFone Systems Inc.'s (NYSE: PAY) acquisition of rival Hypercom Corp. (NYSE: HYC). Shares of VeriFone tumbled $3.36 to close at $46.64 while Hypercom stock dropped $1.30 to close at $9.59.
