Since its debut at the beginning of the 2nd quarter in 2011, the SilverCloud has proven to be a valuable tool among businesses and consumers as a way to improve fleet management, enhance auto-theft security and improve safety. With a number of special features that include speed alerts, virtual boundary alerts, remote access, mobile phone access and the ability to access data via a public tracking interface, the SilverCloud has redefined live tracking. Looking to add even more features to the ultimate in real-time tracking technology, TSD is proud to announce a new routing utility feature that will provide navigational capabilities and more!

From the perspective of fleet management, routing would be defined as a combinatorial problem combined with integer programming problems that results in a set number of company vehicles being required to effectively and efficiently service a number of customers. Basically, there are only so many company vehicles and employees operating those vehicles, therefore it is essential to reduce unnecessary trips while improving route selection. How the new routing utility feature will assist fleet managers is by giving them the ability to manage employee routes more meticulously, boost customer service, reduce fuel consumption and better account for employee activity. This process is done with the routing utility feature by giving the user the ability to access locate vehicle in the field, enter a destination and calculate the shortest route possible. The routing utility feature even allows the user to check for toll roads!

After the user selects "Calculate Route", they can enter a phone number or email address and the routing utility feature will send the directions to that person. The new routing utility feature is offered at no additional cost, showing once again why the SilverCloud is much more unique than any other GPS device on the market!
