Author Anna Kavanaugh brings readers what they have eagerly been waiting for since her unexpected retirement in 2008. "The Cord of Callows: Creed" opened for pre-sale on just Sunday, September 18th, and has since made a steady climb up the sales charts, soaring onto the Barnes & Noble Pre-Selling Bestsellers List by mid-day Monday.

“Creed,” Volume Two of the highly anticipated “The Cord of Callows” trilogy has taken a comfortable hold in the top 30 of the 100 title selections list, sliding into the top 20 as of this writing with a ranking of the 19th bestselling title. Readers may recall another visit to the bestsellers list for the author, when prior to her retirement reprints of “The Bridemaker’s Son,” and the original “The Cord of Callows,” battled one another for three weeks in the top 50 of the coveted list, selling out all inventory leaving the publisher unable to meet demand prior to the author's retirement. Readers need not worry about an inventory sell out for “Creed” as a generous initial print run of the title is planned.

To track or purchase “The Cord of Callows: Creed” readers may visit the Barnes & Noble Bestsellers List In Pre-Sales at http://www.barnesandnoble.com/u/books-coming-soon/379002181/ The revised cover to reflect the Volume and Series will be available shortly to accompany the book listing.

“The Cord of Callows: Creed” is Volume Two of the author's upcoming trilogy, consisting of three books in the series, “Provenance” Volume One, “Creed” Volume Two, and “Covenant” Volume Three.

The series story will span several generations. In line with the original novel, the trilogy will delve further into the ethical and spiritual questions that arise from the altering of our food supply by way of the genetic engineering and manipulation practices in use today, often undisclosed to the consumer. Passionate in her study and personal opposition of these methods, Ms. Kavanaugh will use a science fiction/fantasy blend to focus the story on what physical and spiritual ramifications to the continuance and further development of these practices may be ahead. Primarily, the series seeks to examine free will and ask these questions while weighing the cost through several paradoxical ironies and the lens of a higher perspective.

All media and author interview requests should be directed to the publishing house for consideration.
