New Crest Hill Family Fun Entertainment Center Announces Winning Name - Family Fun Zone

All Crest Hill students who submitted names win prizes; first prize entries win unlimited skating for one year

The new Crest Hill family fun Center announces the winning name of its classroom naming contest: Family Fun Zone. The contest, which ran from October 4 - November 1, asked students to submit and vote on creative names for the new center. Crest Hill family fun center representatives worked closely with superintendents and the Crest Hill community to implement the contest into local schools.

The first prize name was submitted separately by two students at Richland Elementary School: Jocelyn, a student in Mrs. Jeni Rodriguez’s class; and Makayla, a student in Mrs. Meghan Figiel’s class. Both students win one year of unlimited skate entry fee and rental for them and a friend; a special birthday party package that includes skate entry, skate rental, laser tag, pizza, beverages and tokens for them and their 11 closest friends; recognition within the community and at the center; as well as an ultimate class party for their entire school grade.

"I sincerely want to thank all of the Crest Hill students, teachers and superintendents for participating in our naming contest," says Michael Chiodo, partner and general manager of Crest Hill's Family Fun Zone. "This has truly been an enjoyable and exciting process for us, and we were thrilled to receive so many great name entries. We look forward to meeting the kids in our community soon, and can't wait for them to experience fun times at our new Family Fun Zone."

"I am very excited that the community is involved with the Family Fun Zone,” adds partner Brian Eversman. “The name is awesome and very accurately describes what we want to offer to the community once we open later this year.”

The second prize name was Family Fun World, submitted by Vincent, a student in Mrs. Lori Stamper’s class at Richland Grade School. Vincent wins a special birthday party package that includes skate entry, skate rental, laser tag, pizza, beverages and tokens for him and his 11 closest friends; an ultimate class party for his entire school class; and a laser tag package for him and 11 of his closest friends.

The third prize name was Super Family Fun Land, submitted by Ethan, a student in Mrs. Linda Doyle’s class at Richland Elementary School. Ethan wins a laser tag package with entry, pizza and beverages for him and 11 of his closest friends; and an ultimate class party for his entire school class.

All students who submitted their classroom’s winning entries will receive one skate entry fee, skate rental, laser tag, pizza, beverages and 10 tokens for them and their families. Additionally, they each get to choose a friend to receive the same winning package.
