Dow Would Be Approaching 14,000 if Apple Were a Member

For all the hoopla made over the Dow Jones industrial average crossing above 13,000 this week, the century-old barometer of U.S. stocks quoted in every morning paper would be approaching 14,000 if Apple were in it.
