We have effectively and efficiently served the adult facility in Newport News since August 2011, and now serve the city’s juvenile facility as well. With the addition of Josephine County, we are now serving five of the 36 counties in Oregon. We look forward to continued growth going forward as we execute our business model, offering quality correctional medical and mental health services for our clients.”

Newport News is an independent city in the Hampton Roads metropolitan area, located at the southeastern end of the Virginia peninsula, on the north shore of the James River. The city's economy is very connected to the military, with many residents employed at Huntington Ingalls Shipbuilding, the U.S. Air Force-U.S. Army installation at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, and other military installations and suppliers. Newport News also boasts a large boating industry, and serves as a junction between the rails and the sea with the Newport News Marine Terminals. Of its approximately 180,000 residents, 24% are under age 18.

Josephine County is located in Southwestern Oregon, bordered on the south by California, and two hours from the Pacific coast. The U.S. government owns the majority of the land within the county boundaries. Of its approximately 83,000 residents, 23,000 live in Grants Pass, the county seat, in which the Josephine County Jail is located.
