Depigmenting Cream Prevents the Appearance of Brown Spots and Other Signs of Photo-ageing

By: PRLog
PR Log - Jul 14, 2012 - Hyper-pigmentation is the medical term used to describe a fairly common condition where excess melanin in the body results in darker patches appearing on the skin. While it can occur naturally, it comes as no surprise that the sun is one of the major culprits in causing or worsening skin pigmentation. So even though we look and feel great when sun-kissed, it’s never a good idea to get too much sun – and hyperpigmentation is just one of the reasons why. Fortunately there are products on the market like Iklen, that can lessen the effects very noticeably in up to just 12 weeks.

Dark spots are formed by the increased production of melanin. Exposure to the sun, age and pregnancy can cause the ugly appearance of brown spots. Iklen has created a skin lightening cream to act against the spots and to prevent their appearance, but also against the other signs of photo-ageing.

Iklen depigmenting cream has simultaneous depigmenting and moisturizing effects and is particularly suited for long-term use. It is ideal complement to specific dermatological intervention or treatment (post-laser, nitrogen, peeling, etc ). Iklen depigmenting cream has a regulatory action that prevents the recurrence of brown marks and the development of new marks: senescence marks, chloasma, photosensitization, drugs, and more generally all kinds of hyperpigmentations engendered by ultraviolet rays.It also hydrates the skin so that you don't need to use a moisturizer Iklen has been clinically tested by dermatologists for efficacy and safety.
Iklen depigmenting cream is aimed specifically at managing hyperpigmentation (brown spots) and photo-ageing. Specifically it prevents the appearance of brown spots and regulates skin discoloration caused by abnormal pigmentation due to its main active ingredients rucinol and sophora-alpha.

It is an exclusive combination of 2 complementary active substances:
- Rucinol, a reference depigmenting active substance, acts simultaneously at the centre of the cell on the 2 key enzymes involved in melanin synthesis.
- The concentrated extract of Sophora, a potent enzymatic inhibitor, acts at the extra-cellular level to deactivate the melanocyte.

Rucinol (a patented ingredient) works on the biochemical pathway by which melanin (color in the skin) is produced.Rucinol inhibits an enzyme called tyrosinase, thereby reducing the production of the darker melanins. Rucinol also inhibits another enzyme called TRP1. The inhibition of TRP1 will shift production of black melanin towards brown or pale melanins. By acting in two places (on tyrosinase and TRP1), Rucinol reduces and lightens the melanosomes. It is therefore an effective depigmenting agent.
The other main ingredient sophora-alpha acts on the outside of the melanocyte, and blocks the extracellular action of alpha-MSH. Alpha-MSH is responsible for activating the melanin synthesis pathway.Sophora-alpha effectively blocks MSH receptors.

In addition to the depigmenting cream Iklen has also in the same series: iklen  depigmenting serum with similar results, iklen radiance active which is an anti-aging day cream and iklen melano expert (http://www.vasilia.com/iklen-melano-expert-anti-brown-spot/), a concentrate that fades ageing and brown spots all over the body.
