PR Log - Feb 04, 2013 - National Notary Association Names Local Businesswoman A Finalist For Its Prestigious 2013 Notary of the Year Award
LOS ANGELES, February 4, 2013 -- The National Notary Association (NNA), the leader in best practices, training, and advocacy for the nation’s community of 4.4 million Notaries, has selected Dallas-Ft. Worth area resident Tonie Boaman of Dash Notary, as one of five honorees for the Association’s 2013 Notary of the Year Award. The five honorees were selected from among hundreds of nominations nationwide. One honoree will be named “Notary of the Year” at the NNA 2013 Conference in June.
“The Notary of the Year designation is the highest honor bestowed upon Notaries Public in the United States,” said Phillip Browne, the NNA’s Director of Communications. “As an honoree, Ms. Boaman exemplifies the ideals of integrity, impartiality, selflessness and public service—all important qualities of a Notary Public as they protect Americans from ID theft and document fraud.”
The NNA’s Notary of the Year awards program recognizes Notaries whose actions and accomplishments go above and beyond their basic commissioned duty, and who have served to elevate the trust and integrity associated with the American Notary Public office. Honorees are chosen based upon their achievements in notarial performance, community service, providing notarial services to the less fortunate, working to enact needed legislation, and promoting the role of a Notary Public.
Boaman is recognized for her consistent efforts to promote education, responsibility and ethics in the notarial profession, plus extensive community service with www.MetroRelief.org, a non-profit that maintains a food bank and provides other free services to those in need.
Boaman will be profiled in the Association’s March 2013 issue of The National Notary magazine. The 2013 Notary of the Year will be announced at the NNA's 35th Annual Conference in Austin, Texas June 2 – 5.
