Prominent Southern California lemon law lawyer sues Classic Chariots in lawsuit alleging that the Vista, California used car dealership illegally sells automobiles for more than their advertised prices.

PR Log - Apr 09, 2013 - The Law Office of Michael R. Vachon, Esq., a prolific California consumer protection law firm, has announced the filing of a lawsuit against Classic Chariots, a popular Vista, California used car dealership.  The lawsuit has been filed in the San Diego County Superior Court, and is titled Munoz v. Classic Chariots, Inc.  The lawsuit's complaint alleges that the Defendant car dealership publishes ads for its used cars on the Internet, but then fails to inform walk-in shoppers of these ads, and sells the vehicles for more than their advertised prices whenever it can.  The complaint further alleges that California law prohibits licensed car dealers, like Classic Chariots, from selling automobiles above their advertised prices.

The Plaintiff is Carlos Munoz, a San Diego County consumer who purchased a used Chevrolet Malibu from the Defendant in April, 2011.  He alleges in the complaint that after buying the vehicle he discovered that Classic Chariots had previously advertised it on the Internet for a price approximately $1,000 lower than the price he later paid for the vehicle.

The lawsuit also alleges that Classic Chariots misled Mr. Munoz by telling him that the Chevrolet Malibu had been thoroughly inspected and was in excellent condition, when in reality the vehicle had been seriously damaged in a prior accident.

Please note:  Classic Chariots has denied all of the allegations in the lawsuit, and no findings have been made that the dealer violated any laws or committed any wrongdoing.

Attorney Looking For Other Customers Who Were Overcharged

The lawsuit’s complaint alleges that Mr. Munoz is not the only victim of Classic Chariots’s illegal practice.  Accordingly, Mr. Munoz’s attorney, Michael R. Vachon, Esq., has announced that he is looking for other customers who may have paid more than the advertised prices for their vehicles.  He is asking all recent Classic Chariots customers who may have information relevant to this case to contact him at the offices of his San Diego, California lemon law firm.
