Roger Federer will return to Wimbledon this year with high hopes of defending his All-England Club crown, and tennis fans will be glad to know that the action will be streamed live for free.

Roger Federer ended his brief slam title drought in 2012 by winning Wimbledon for a seventh time and he’ll return this season with hopes of another incredible fortnight in England. Fedex is often described as the greatest player of all time and he’s arguably at his best on grass courts. Even so, if he’s to hold onto the title he’ll need to produce a few miracles.
Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal are both hot on Federer’s heels and they appear to be the two dominant forces in tennis at the moment. The Swiss legend might have a few tricks up his sleeve on the Wimbledon lawns but in general it’s Rafa and Novak who are running the show. Andy Murray can also be thrown into that mix. The Scot finished as the runner-up last season and beat Federer in the final to claim Olympic gold later in the year when they returned to Wimbledon.
There are several other players to look out for, with big guns such as Milos Raonic and John Isner looking capable of heroics on grass. The quick courts give the rocket servers a real boost and it’s not implausible that someone with a more Sampras-esque game might seriously challenge.
A handful of other competitors shouldn’t be overlooked either. Tomas Berdych is a former Wimbledon runner-up and could be a major presence. Then there’s the in-form players such as Tommy Haas and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Haas has lost none of his intensity whilst Tsonga looks to be a fearsome opponent under the guidance of new coach Roger Rasheed.
The dramatic race for the title is on its way.
