GameStop Now Taking Pre-Orders for Xbox One

Starting today, GameStop (NYSE: GME), the world’s largest multichannel retailer of video games, is now taking pre-orders on Microsoft’s next generation, all-in-one gaming and entertainment system, the Xbox One, as announced today at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the biggest show in the gaming industry.

The Xbox One puts you at the center of all your games, TV, movies, music, sports and Skype. With Xbox One, games push the boundaries of realism, and TV obeys your commands. Gaming on Xbox One immerses gamers in cinematic worlds that look like real life, with characters that feel more human than ever before. The new system is accompanied by an all new generation of Xbox Live, a redesigned 1080p Kinect, and the class-leading Xbox controller.

Pre-orders for the Xbox One can be made at any U.S. GameStop store location or online at www.gamestop.com/xbox-one with a $100 deposit that will be applied toward the $499 cost of the console.*

GameStop customers can also pre-order the first games available on the new system, including these titles exclusive to the Xbox One: Ryse: Son of Rome, Forza Motorsport 5, and Kinect Sports Rivals, all published by Microsoft Studios, as well as Capcom’s Dead Rising 3.

Activision’s Call of Duty: Ghosts and EA’s Battlefield 4 can also be pre-ordered starting today.
