Cycle from London to Brighton on the 8th of September and support Bike 4 Cancer!
PRLog - Jul 08, 2013 - KINGSCLERE, U.K. -- Bike 4 Cancer, the cancer charity for cyclists, is calling for people from all over the South-East to join them on Sunday the 8th of September 2013 for the London to Brighton bike ride
The 56 mile ride, which starts in Clapham Common and finishes opposite Brighton Pier, takes in some of the most beautiful countryside in the South of England. Over 5,000 cyclists are expected to take part.
Andy Hayward, Trustee at Bike 4 Cancer said “The London to Brighton charity bike ride is one of the UK's classic charity challenges. The ride is the perfect event for families, aspiring cyclists or even corporate teams and is open to all cyclists from the age of 16 upwards.”
Andy continued “Fifty people have currently signed up to support Bike 4 Cancer which is fantastic. We’re hoping for 100 riders on the day so please get in touch if you’d like to join us. We can help with bike hire and even transport back from Brighton after the ride.”
A £35 registration fee applies which includes a buffet lunch and breakdown assistance should you have a puncture or another problem with your bike during the ride. Bike 4 Cancer was set up in 2007 by a group of keen cyclists who have all lost a family member or close friend to cancer. The charity provides days out and respite breaks for families living with cancer. Bike 4 Cancer also makes palliative care grants and supports research into the positive effects of exercise on health.
