By: PRLog
PRLog - Nov. 1, 2013 - MEBANE, N.C. -- The Dating Adventures of a Widow is a small collection of creative nonfiction and award winning short stories by Rita Berman, a freelance writer for more than 40 years. Widowed after a marriage of 34 years she was surprised to find herself dating more men than when she was single.

The true-life Dating Adventures story offers humor and advice to women and may suggest some dating No-noes to men. The Polish Professor is a family story that took place in London, England, after World War 2. Something to Think About, Solitary Confinement, and In Sickness and In Health are fictional.  The poem The Beach was created for a lecture about Gertrude Stein that Berman gave to members of Shared Learning of Chapel Hill, NC.

The Dating Adventures is published by Righter Publishing and is available at Amazon.com in paperback or Kindle versions.

Berman has published more than 500 feature articles and newspaper columns in the United States and Great Britain. Author of Still Hopping, Still Hoping, the biography of Carla Shuford, and a reference book The A-Z of Writing and Selling.  Her memoir titled I Saw London Burning was published in Celebrating Family History (Heritage Books).
