Thousands of gaming fans attended midnight launch events at GameStop’s more than 4,200 stores across the U.S. last night for the North American launch of Sony’s PlayStation®4.

These gamers at the GameStop and Sony launch event in San Francisco waited hours to get their hands on the new, innovative system but enjoyed food trucks, prizes, live music and more throughout the night while they did.

Today is the official launch date for the PS4.
