At Home Veterinary Services hires Dr. Kathryn Kirstein as an Associate Veterinarian.
PRLog - Jan. 10, 2014 - PORTLAND, Ore. -- At Home Veterinary Services, a leading mobile veterinary practice for dogs and cats serving the Portland, Oregon metro area, is pleased to announce the recent hiring of Kathryn Kirstein, VMD to the position of Associate Veterinarian. She has already begun to accept new appointments.
Originally from Washington, DC, Dr. Kirstein did her veterinary training at the University of Pennsylvania and an internship at Oradell Animal Hospital in New Jersey. The lure of the Northwest brought her to Portland, Oregon where she has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2002, primarily at North Portland Veterinary Hospital. She has also spent time providing relief work at various clinics around the Portland metro area.
“I am very excited to have Kathryn join our team,” says Louise Mesher, DVM, principal veterinarian and owner of At Home Veterinary Services. “She has filled in many times for me and our other associate veterinarian, Dr. Heather Dillon, and our clients have just loved her. We're so happy she will be here every week!” All three veterinarians have known each other for several years and all have worked together in other Portland veterinary clinics before At Home Veterinary Services.
Dr. Mesher, who started At Home Veterinary Services in July 2008, is focused on providing an intimate and personal veterinary experience for pet owners and their pets throughout the Portland metro area. Once Dr. Kirstein began filling in occasionally at the practice, she became very attached to in-home veterinary care. “The intimacy of the home setting, the amount of time I can spend with my clients, along with being able to observe a pet in their natural state allows me to practice the best medicine I can offer,” said Dr. Kirstein.
