Generate4Schools, a Massachusetts-based School Fundraising Company, is proud to announce the Brookline Education Foundation (BEF) is using the Automatic Fundraiser to generate much-needed funds for Brookline public schools. In late 2012, the BEF partnered with Generate4Schools to provide local businesses a way to save money while supporting Brookline's public schools, preschool through high school. Nearly 30 business locations are processing about 1 Million dollars each and every month, and are redirecting thousands of dollars into Brookline schools annually - exactly what Generate4Schools Founder and CMO, John Malone, set out to accomplish. "The Town of Brookline should be extremely proud. They have a group of parents, residents, and business owners who are eager and motivated to make an initiative like this really work for them," said Malone. "Since they joined, the Brookline Education Foundation is consistently reaching new milestones. The BEF receives over $10,000 dollars every year on behalf of Brookline businesses; that's money that honestly wouldn't exist in Brookline if relying only on event-based fundraising. It's literally found money that the public schools truly need."

Brookline kicked off the Generate4Schools program with four Brookline businesses; vinodivino, Portobello Road, Connolly Hardware, and Beacon Orthodontics. These businesses are saving money with every credit card transaction they make, while redirecting additional funds to the BEF. Business owners highly endorse the program. Just walk into vinodivino and ask owner Raphael Keller-Go what he thinks of Generate4Schools: "If you look at the numbers, it's literally a no-brainer. It's a grassroots campaign. You want to make known to customers walking in your store, but also fellow retailers walking by, of what's going on. Each time I swipe a card, I now have a smile on my face because I am saving tons of money and supporting Brookline schools at the same time."
