Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management Hires Dodd Kittsley to Lead Exchange Traded Products Strategy

Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (DeAWM) announced today that Dodd Kittsley will join the firm as a Managing Director and Head of Exchange Traded Product (ETP) Strategy in the Americas. Based in New York, Kittsley will report to Fiona Bassett, Head of the Passive business in the Americas and Mick McLaughlin, Head of Passive Distribution in the Americas.

In this newly created position, Kittsley will be responsible for DeAWM’s ETP research in the Americas. He will also be responsible for generating new national account business and providing sophisticated, innovative solutions for both institutional and retail clients. The platform’s distribution team has expanded by two-fold over the last year.

“We are very committed to the growth of our passive platform,” said Jerry Miller, Head of DeAWM in the Americas. “As we expand our product offering in the U.S., we are focused on broadening our reach and strengthening our position as a thought leader in the passive industry.”

Kittsley is the latest strategic senior hire by DeAWM as it pushes to further expand its product offerings, increase outreach to current and future investors, and continue to build its market share in the Americas. Kittsley’s appointment also builds on the success of DeAWM’s China A-shares Fund, which has more than doubled in size since its November 2013 launch.

“We are thrilled to have Dodd on board,” said Bassett. “His deep relationships with national accounts will play a critical role in expanding our ETP platform in the Americas.”

Kittsley has more than 15 years of industry experience. Most recently, he was the Global Head of ETP Research for BlackRock, providing insight on the global ETP marketplace through their monthly ETP Landscape newsletter and other regular and customized research. Mr. Kittsley was previously Head of Due Diligence for iShares, a global provider of ETPs. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Kittsley held research and fund due diligence positions at State Street Global Advisors and Morgan Stanley.

Mr. Kittsley earned a B.A. degree from the Hamilton College and a Masters degree from University of Houston. He received the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation and is a member of CFA® Institute.
