PRLog - Apr. 23, 2014 - NEW YORK -- Dual Survival returns for Season 4 on Discovery Channel at 9 ET/PT and this season will prove to be the most dangerous and dramatic season for Joseph Teti and Cody Lundin—two drastically different survival specialists whose tensions between each other have been rising. Exacerbated by the rough terrains and treacherous environment, two different survival strategies will ultimately backfire, and put lives in danger. It is no secret that one will permanently leave the show, and in each episode, the wills and physical strength and stamina are pushed like never before.
With little modern tools, equipment, or assistance, Cody and Joe are dropped in the mangroves of Sri Lanka, the scorching Arabian dessert in Oman, the snow-capped Norwegian mountains where survival becomes critical, and decisions become a matter of life or death.
“Joe and Cody take on some of the toughest environments in the world, and their vastly different survival styles push them to the breaking point,” said Discovery Executive Producer Joshua C. Berkley. “Teamwork in the wild can mean the difference between life and death, a harsh fact that Cody and Joe come face to face with. This may be the most demanding and shocking season yet, and one of these men won’t finish what he started.”
This show is brilliantly produced with a strong arm, amazingly beautiful cinematography taking you to places in the world most will never get to see themselves, and the shooting was intense and dangerous for everyone involved. The remote areas the film crew would travel with tons of gear for hours into very dangerous terrain. Bugs, snakes, aligators, and other predators were par for the course. Ironically, they were shooting “Dual Survival” but indeed often it was a “Production Survival.” And as tensions escalated on and off camera between Cody and Joe, there is one man who shall remain nameless that was the real hero of this crew. Behind every great show, is a leader with a brilliant and strong mind that can manage to see the production through whatever hurdles it must conquer. And to keep these two, one half “Aborigini” and one half “trained killer” from not killing each other—this man deserves an Emmy for that alone.
Dual Survival is a great show, and one we enjoy working on and realize that even though Cody and Joe are two tough guys, they can still battle it out like the women on Housewives.
