Clearwave Corporation’s self-service registration makes use of the kiosk as the cornerstone of self-service registration.  Hospitals and Clinics using the Clearwave solution find that 85% of their patients use the kiosk.  At the kiosk, patients review their own information, make updates as needed, scan insurance cards/drivers licenses and remit payment.  It is a true self-service experience that automates registration, validates insurance and ensures accurate updating of patient information. Most importantly it eliminates the use of dreaded clipboard with multiple pages of already requested information from the patient.

Clearwave now now announces a solution for the 15% of patients that prefer not to use the use the kiosk.  Our Clearwave’s provider portal application is now compatible with IPAD’s and Windows-based tablets.  Staff members can greet patients, directing the majority to the kiosk.  For those that prefer not to use the kiosk, staff members can click on the “check-in now” button on the tablet.  This will arrive the patient, verify eligibility and let the staff member know if the patient owes a copay.  Staff no longer needs to ask patients if their insurance has changed, they will see instantly on the tablet if the insurance is valid and what, if any, money the patient owes the practice. This exchange creates a greater patient experience for the patient.

“Combing kiosks and tablets to provide the best possible service for 100% of your patients provides the best of both worlds.  Self-service at the kiosk for the majority of patients and a tablet based solution for patients that prefer assisted check-in,” said Eric Anderson, COO of Clearwave Corporation.  “There is no fee for Clearwave’s tablet application and customers are free to use the tablet of their preference.”
