General Electric (NYSE: GE) will buy Alstom.
In the broad market, declining outpaced advancers by a margin of 10 to 9 on the NYSE and by nearly 5 to 3 on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 slipped 2 points to 1959. Bitcoin lost $8.82 or 1.50% to $587.62.
