PRLog - Jul. 1, 2014 - NEW YORK -- Innovation Loft, the most creative place in Manhattan for corporate teams and startups, continues its well-received Innovation Evenings series with a workshop entitled “Wearable Computing – Beyond Google Glass” on July 10 at 6 p.m. at the new Chelsea Location.  The session will be led by Michelle McKenna, Chief Information Officer of the National Football League.  The highly-anticipated workshop follows the premiere May workshop on the Internet of Things, and how it can be used as a strategic tool for marketers to better connect with their audience.

The July 10 event will offer attendees a look into the future of wearable computing, and how it will impact consumer behavior, content creation and business applications.  In addition to participating in a Visioning Game workshop, attendees will also have a chance to try on a pair of Google Glasses and experience first-hand what wearable computing has to offer.  McKenna along with other guest speakers will discuss the disruptive nature of the new technology, as well as potential industry impacts through consumer behavior and advantageous business applications.

“Google Glass and the iWatch are some of the most buzz-worthy developments in the category of wearable computing," said Howard Tiersky, CEO of Innovation Loft.  "This exciting workshop is centered around the possibilities surrounding the personal and business applications of Wearable Computing.  Taking full advantage of our uniquely interactive format and creative space, attendees will enjoy taking part in a hands-on evening of networking, fun challenges and collaboration."

Traditionally, Innovation Evenings offer informative presentations, small group discussions and engaging use of the Innovation Loft's creative space. “Wearable Computing – Beyond Google Glass” attendees will experience Visioning Games, also unique to Loft’s Innovation Evening series.  Teams have a chance to rapidly envision and predict the future impact of wearable technology, and then compete against other teams in engaging, light-hearted challenges.

“A big part of how consumers use new technology is determined and shaped by start-ups and companies that understand the opportunity for integration and consumer benefits from the very beginning,” said Tiersky.  “The Innovation Evening series gathers likeminded professionals in a creative space to help foster these new ideas and create valuable change ahead of the curve.”

The Innovation Loft approach has helped leading companies including Nutrisystem, Clear Channel and the NFL, with new product launch strategies.

Drinks and refreshments will be available before and after the event.  The event is invitation only. If you wish to attend this event, please click here to register. Attendees must RSVP due to limited seating.
