Family Law Researchers Seeking Feedback on Independent Children’s Lawyers (ICL)

If you are one of the many disgruntled single parents who have been let down a Court appointed ICL, then this survey is for you. Tell us why you were so disappointed with a solicitor whose sole job was to protect your children.
PRLog - Jul. 18, 2014 - SYDNEY, Australia -- Family Law Express have just published a survey seeking feedback from divorced parents who have worked alongside an Independent Children's Lawyer (ICL) during their child custody matter.

Do you believe the ICL was professional, did they understand the family law act, did they prepare properly, did they treat you differently because of your gender, racial background, sexual orientation or faith, did they even bother to talk to you?

The Family Law Express Independent Children’s Lawyers survey asks these questions and more, probing the accountability and professionalism of a group of solicitors who some claim are far too unregulated, and whose performances are hidden from any proper transparency measures.

Whilst the Australian Government Institute of Family Studies (AIFS) has recently released a report aimed towards the better utilisation of ICL’s, Family Law Express is endeavouring to add to the debate through its own independent direct-to-consumer research.

In doing, these researchers wish to both elaborate on and scrutinize key findings of the AIFS report, to ultimately ask fundamental questions of government policy and reform agenda that are too often not the priority of government sponsored reviews.

Family Law Express is asking all parents who have been involved with ICL’s to contribute. We ask you to participate in our short survey on your experience with ICL’s in order to add to this significant debate within family law.

This survey will only take a few minutes of your time but would provide invaluable feedback on the performance of ICLs in Family Law child custody matters.

Tell us about your experience with an ICL at http://www.familylawexpress.com.au/family-law-pulse/
