Visiting Angels Homecare is pleased to announce the start of another one of our popular series of classes called the “Alzheimer’s Caregiver Project” in the Casselberry, Altamonte Springs, and Maitland Florida area.
PRLog - Jul. 23, 2014 - SANFORD, Fla. -- Visiting Angels Homecare has partnered with Vitas Innovative Hospice Care and Arden Courts Memory Care Community. This partnership allows the “Alzheimer’s Caregiver Project” classes to be available at no cost to any Alzheimer’s or other related dementia caregiver in the community.
The “Alzheimer’s Caregiver Project” is a series of six classes addressing the unique issues of caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. The classes are once a month for six months and this series is starting August 11th, 2014 at the Seminole County Public Library System, Jean Rhein Central Branch, 215 N. Oxford Rd, Casselberry, FL 32707.
The classes are modeled in order of what a caregiver will go through once their loved one is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or other related dementia. Professionals in each field will be presenting the classes: Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease, Legal and Financial Matters, How to Survive Your Role as a Caregiver, Surviving Challenging Behaviors, Medications/Research, and the last class is Choices of Care (community resources).
