KBE Building Corp. Safety Award Winner Adam Moore Promoted to Senior Project Manager

Industry veteran helping solidify KBE's expertise in K-12 schools, higher education construction

Farmington, CT - July 23, 2014 - (iNewswire)

KBE Building Corporation, a $300 million commercial construction firm regionally positioned in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, has promoted veteran staff member Adam Moore to Senior Project Manager.

A LEED Accredited Professional and Certified Construction Manager with 19 years of industry experience, Moore received the company’s Safety Award for his consistent and passionate support for the KBE Safety Program. He has been with KBE since 1998. A number of his projects have been recognized by industry organizations, including the new Science Center at Connecticut College, which received recognition from the Associated Builders & Contractors – Connecticut Chapter, Connecticut Building Congress, and the International Partnering Institute.

“It’s my pleasure to promote Adam, given the years of dedication he has contributed to our company,” said KBE principal owner and CEO Mike Kolakowski, who bought the firm in 2007 with fellow senior executives Eric Brown and Simon Etzel.

Formerly Project Manager, Moore will now provide senior-level leadership and direction to project teams.

Moore recently managed the $22-million, 50,000-square-foot renovation and addition at Quinebaug Valley Middle College High School. He is now managing the $9-million, 45,000-square-foot renovation and addition at Connecticut College’s Shain Library, which is part of KBE’s innovative asset reinvestment program at the College.

“In recent years, we’ve made K-12 schools and higher education two of our top markets,” said Kolakowski. “I can attribute much of our success in these markets to Adam’s expertise.”

When it comes to education, KBE is contributing more than construction. The firm has chosen students in Connecticut’s technical high school systems as this year’s beneficiaries of its corporate philanthropic program 50 Ways to Make a Difference.

Established in 2009 to celebrate the firm’s new ownership, name change, and 50 years in business, 50 Ways has helped KBE associates donate more than $1.2 million and 5,000 volunteer hours to charitable causes benefiting children, seniors, and military veterans in Connecticut and Maryland.
