Custom Entertainment Solutions (CES) Inc. is proud to announce the recent conclusion of a first-ever pilot program offered in conjunction with the Boys & Girls Club of Salt Lake City. The designer and manufacturer of customized animatronics sponsored the club's first ever Animatronics Team for teenagers interested in learning more about the topic.

Animatronics Team members met during the course of the program with CES facilitators at the company's Salt Lake City headquarters. Throughout the program, the teens learned what goes into creating customized animatronics including design and drawing, sculpting, molding, skinning, painting and programming. All of the work needed to create the finished animatronic head was done by the teens themselves.

According to team facilitators, the teens had to learn to work together in order to create a finished product representing everyone. They also had to learn to push through, despite the fact that some of the parts of the animatronic creation process can be tedious and somewhat challenging. All of the students learned to finish something they started, a valuable lesson that will serve them well into the future.

CES notes that none of the teens involved had any technical knowledge of animatronics prior to the start of the project. Yet many discovered talents and skills they never knew they had. Some of them may even decide to pursue a career in animatronics as a result of the experience they had. Yet even those who will choose other career paths still gained experience that can be employed in their future endeavors.

Among some of the more impressive skills the teens demonstrated came by way of sculpting and mechanism engineering. Some of the best sculpting was done by teens who did not know they had that ability. Others demonstrated a natural understanding of mechanics and how to adapt that understanding to mechanism engineering.

The program was a definite success from start to finish. CES wishes the teenagers well in the future and hopes the Boys & Girls Club will continue this program. The first-ever CES Animatronics Team was an opportunity to teach some enthusiastic teenagers viable life skills while having a lot of fun.
