#DoYouThinkBig Instagram Photo Art Contest Concludes Today 6PM EST
PRLog - Aug. 26, 2014 - NEW YORK -- Cavalier Gallery and the New York City Department of Transportation’s Art Program are excited to announce the installation of artist Jim Rennert’s large-scale sculptures entitled 'Think Big' and 'Perspective' in Union Square.

Acting as an inspiration to everyone who works hard every day to achieve their dreams and goals, the monumental businessman gazes up at the sky and the Manhattan skyline, reminding us to “think big” while reconsidering the vantage point -- recognizing that the American Dream is alive and thriving in NYC.

A popular Instagram contest #doyouthinkbig has generated hundreds of visitor photos with the sculptures, and concludes at 6PM EST today. A video capturing the artist at work inside Cavalier Gallery in New York may be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BeEtLgvlOeI&feature=youtu.be

"The Union Square Partnership is delighted to welcome Jim Rennert's masterpieces to the district for everyone’s enjoyment,” said Union Square Partnership Executive Director Jennifer Falk. "With 350,000 daily visitors to the district, these unique sculptures captivate people in and around the Greenmarket and on the way to and from work."

In October, the limited edition Think Big sculpture travels around the country to art venues located in Aspen, Los Angeles and Miami Beach.

Jim Rennert was born in 1958, and grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Salt Lake City, Utah. After 10 years of working in business, Jim started sculpting in 1990. He became an expert in the lost-wax casting method. It is a process that harkens back to Bronze Age, which produces a duplicate metal sculpture from the original sculpture. He began exhibiting in galleries in 1993, and has since gained significant recognition. He has been featured in publications such as Sculptural Review, American Art Collector and The Inquirer and Mirror. His work is in numerous private and public collections, including the Utah Governor’s Mansion, Terra Industries, GSL Electric, The Church Museum of History and Art, and the Granite Education Foundation.

A collection of the artist’s smaller sculptures is on display at Project 3W57, at 3 West 57th Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10019.
