#1 Most Deadly Caffeine ProductIn light of the recent death of Ohio teenager, Logan Stiner, the website Caffeine Informer has released their list of the 7 most deadly caffeine products for sale in the U.S.
Some of these products contain enough caffeine to kill six or more healthy adults in just one container of the product. And, all of these products can easily be purchased by minors or other consumers who may not understand the risks associated with caffeine consumption.
By creating this list, Caffeine Informer hopes to raise awareness about the dangers of such products, so consumers can be informed about which products to avoid and about how to more safely use caffeine.
“Teens often think that more is better, but with caffeine that line of thinking can have deadly consequences,” said Ted Kallmyer a caffeine expert at Caffeine Informer. “More resources need to be developed to educate teens as well as other consumers about caffeine safety as we do with other drugs.”
Caffeine Informer compiled the list by using their extensive caffeine content database to identify products that contain a high amount of caffeine per serving coupled with having a large number of servings per single container.
Based on this data, Caffeine Informer believes that these seven products pose the greatest risk for causing dangerous caffeine overdose among consumers who use them.
