PRLog - Sep. 9, 2014 - ARLINGTON, Texas -- Barnes & Noble and the Arlington Public Library are coming together to present:

AUTHOR ALLEY
Saturday September 20th, from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

At the Barnes & Noble at the Parks Mall
3881 S. Cooper St. Arlington TX 76016

There will be story-times, guest speakers, kids' activities, and author signings.

10:00am-12:00pm Don M. Winn –
Award winning author. Don will be hosting a storytime and signing from his popular themed series Cardboard Box Adventures.  SUPERHERO everyone needs a hero, The Higgledy-Piggledy Pigeon and more.  (Childrens area)

10:00-4:00pm Jannifer Powelson – Book Signing. When Nature Calls - a cozy mystery. (Street side entrance)

10:00-4:00pm  Amanda M. Thrasher – Discussing/Signing The Greenlee Project, life-fiction. Critical real-life issues that tweens and teens face today, bullying and cyber-bullying.  (Street side entrance)

10:00 -1:00  Brandy Herr – Haunted Granbury - Brandy delves into the devilish history of Granbury's most haunted locations and delivers a healthy dose of a frightening and mysterious past. (Panel discussion with Q&A at the mall entrance 10-12. Signing at the street side entrance 12-1.)

10:00-1:00 Rita Cook – Haunted Dallas.  Tales of the strange and supernatural echo through the halls and city streets of the Big D. It’s said that there is a sadness that lingers at the Sixth Floor Museum in the room where Oswald aimed at JFK. Find out what happened. (Panel discussion with Q&A at the mall entrance 10-12. Signing at the street side entrance 12-1.)

10:00-4:00  Jeanette Vaughan –  Guest Speaker.  Award winning writer and story teller. Flying Solo, Solo Vietnam and Waiting in the Wings. Jeanette will discuss her work, characters, story line, plot, resereach and development. Amy Gallagher, Good Girl Gone Plaid, Annette Bridges, Queen of Damned Good Advice, and Mark Bowlin, The Texas Gun Club, Victory Road, For God and Country, and they will join her at her signing table and during her discussion.  (10-12 signing at the street side entrance. 12-1 Panel discussion at the Mall side entrance.  1-4 signing at the street side entrance.)

1:00-4:00 pm. Chrissy Szazek – Award winning author of romantic suspense and epic fantasy romance. Collision Force, Chance Collision, Calculated Collision, Sword's Call, Love's Call, The Tartan MP3 Player, The Fae Ring, will answer questions and sign copies of her work.  (Panel discussion at the Mall entrance 1-2. Signing at the street side entrance 2-4.)

1:00-4:00 pm Anna Albergucci –The Phoenix Degree series. Romantic Thriller. Q & A (Panel discussion at the Mall entrance 1-2. Signing at the street side entrance 2-4.)

12:00-2:00 John Smith – If you’ve ever wondered what its like to write a screen play, ask John Smith. He’ll sign copies of his work and answer Q & A’s with fellow author Chrissy Szazek. John’s an award winning novelist and screenplay writer. Titles include Aberrant Endings, Wrongful Wish, Jester, Finding Katie, Delayed Flight, Deadly Affairs.  (Signing at the street side entrance.)

12:00-2:00 Martha Faulkner – Will read and sign The Pug That Survived Katrina. (Children’s area)

12:00-2:00 Kristin Bryan – Will read one of her titles and sign. Mrs. Crawdad Comes Home, Mrs. Crawdad Gets Homesick, Mrs. Crawdad at Moonlight, or Mrs. Crawdad and the Bayou Bully  (Children’s area)

2:00 -4:00 David C. Hughes – Will read and sign his first picture book Melted Clowns (Children’s area)

2:00-4:00 Linda Boyden – Award winning author Linda Boyden is all the way here from CA. She will read, sign copies of Boy and Poi Poi Puppy ... A Tale of Puppy Love. She will also have a wonderful activity. Meet Poi Poi Puppy and join in the fun! (Children's area)

2:00 -4:00 Emma Gingerich – Memoir. Forced to leave the only life she ever knew behind, exiled, she educated herself and conquered the ‘English’ world.  (Panel discussion with Q&A and signing at the mall entrance.)
