Seeks Funding for Alaska’s First Mobile Hot Dog TruckAnchorage, Alaska, Sep 15, 2014 – In the US, there are 30,810 mobile food vendors or food carts employing over 35,500 people. These businesses make over $1 billion dollars annually and the projected annual growth in the 2013-2018 market for this type of business is another 4+%. One Alaska man has a dream of owning what will be recorded as the first ever Alaskan mobile hot dog truck, Bear Paw Hot Dog Truck, and has launched an Indiegogo campaign to help raise the finishing costs for equipment to make this dream a reality.
This campaign will raise funds specifically to buy equipment such as a double steam table, a 7′ exhaust hood and fan, a 4 burner cook top, water tanks, required fire safety and propane safety equipment, an electric power unit, the health department permits and a roving food vendor license. If enough funds are raised beyond the previous list, money will be applied to food supplies, marketing and marketing supplies and to help repay some of the required start up loan.
In Anchorage, “community” is very important. That is why the Bear Paw Hot Dog Truck sends a portion of the monthly profits to the Alaska Food Bank. Additionally, the Bear Paw Hot Dog Truck will be available for Food Bank canned food drives whenever possible!
