Chicago, IL— Independent and family-owned art supply store ArtSupply.com (formerly Genesis Art Supply) announced today that it will be hosting its Grand Opening on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 10 and 11 at 2525 N. Elston Ave, after opening the new store for business on Oct. 1.
To commemorate Chicago Artists Month, in conjunction with the Grand Opening, ArtSupply.com will be holding an open house-style sale and celebration for all to come and enjoy. This event will include a wide array of artist demonstrations and exhibits, art product demos, workshops, live music and more. ArtSupply.com will be hosting various events and classes throughout the month of October. The store will have sales on its expanded inventory of fine art supplies, drafting supplies, foam boards and studio furniture.
Co-founder and store owner Richard Goldman expects the Grand Opening celebration of the 18,000 sq. ft. store to be one of the biggest events of the season for Chicago artists. Attendees will be able to check out demos conducted by professional artists from a variety of disciplines and meet representatives from the most well-known and respected brands in art supplies. Arts organizations, schools, and product manufacturers will have booths showcasing their educational programs, new products, and some of the most popular lines of art materials. Such brands include Golden Artist Colors, Iwata, Speedball, Nielsen Bainbridge, Logan Graphic Products, and many more.
New and Improved
In addition to a new and much larger store, ArtSupply.com has undergone heavy brand and web redevelopment. ArtSupply.com’s new store aims to utilize more interactive activities to provide customers with a more inspiring brand experience and a more dynamic relationship with Chicago artists. ArtSupply.com, with its new look and logo, is also moving to a new e-commerce platform to make the website more efficient, secure and aesthetically pleasing. This move will improve the overall online shopping experience for its customers.
