The free Halloween event promises a ghoulishly good time for trick-or-treaters
PRLog - Sep. 29, 2014 - BEAUFORT, S.C. -- A Lowcountry Halloween tradition, the Annual Trick or Treat in Downtown Beaufort is set to take place on Thursday, October 23. Children can don their costumes, grab their goodie bags, and prowl the streets in a safe and fun Halloween romp from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Annual Trick or Treat in Downtown Beaufort is hosted by Main Street Beaufort, USA, downtown merchants, and the City of Beaufort Police Department. Hilton Head Hyundai, the premier Beaufort area Hyundai dealership, and Beaufort Memorial Hospital are sponsoring the event.
Trick-or-treaters from the ages of 0 to 12 will have the opportunity to visit more than 65 businesses in the downtown area in their quest for candy. To accommodate the roving goblins and ghouls, Port Republic to Scott Street and Bay Street, from Newcastle to Carteret Street, will be closed to automobile traffic from 4:15 pm to 6:00 pm. Newcastle Street will remain open during the event.
Although every effort will be made to make this a safe activity, it is strongly recommended that parents accompany their little trick-or-treaters as they stroll along the downtown streets and through the stores.
Once the Trick or Treating is finished, the fun continues in the park where there will be inflatable jumpers and bouncy houses for the kids to enjoy until 7 pm.
