Destin Seafood Festival Returns to the Harbor With a Packed Schedule and Baytowne Wharf Presents 7th Annual Beer Festival.
PRLog - Oct. 1, 2014 - DESTIN, Fla. -- As summer ends and the fall season begins, the Emerald Coast welcomes a variety of festivals to enjoy. In its 36th year, the Annual Seafood Festival is one of the most anticipated of Destin events. The festival expects over 60,000 to come to the Destin Harbor on October 3rd-5th. Tons of vendors are ready to set up with a variety of food and drinks. Fresh caught local seafood is the main attraction but many Destin area restaurants will have meals available. Once again, there is no admission charge but donations will be accepted at select tents. Along with a large food and drink selection, there will also be arts and crafts as well as live music on 3 different stages each day. Among the line-up for entertainment are local Reggae band Heritage, Jones and Company, Cadillac Willie and the Forrest Williams Band. There will also be three separate Kid Zones for children of all ages to enjoy. These will include a painting workshop, magic shows, and a petting zoo. Destin is known as “The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village” and the festival is a tribute to the history of the Destin Harbor and the fishing community.

In the Village of Baytowne Wharf on October 17th and 18th, visitors will come to Sandestin to enjoy the 7th annual Beer Festival. The event weekend starts on Friday at 6pm with the first ever “Beer Bingo” game. Prizes up for grab include a YOLO Board, Leinenkugel’s Grizzly cooler, and a fly board session with Power Up Sports. Over 200 domestic and international beers will be available for sampling including specialty, seasonal, and a selection of not-yet-released beers. Brewery representatives will answer questions and educate attendees on the variety of beer styles. The Owsley Brothers and Native Run will provide live entertainment for the Craft Beer Tasting. A portion of the festival proceeds will benefit the Fisher House & Sandestin Foundation for Kids. Many visitors make arrangements at Destin condo rentals to enjoy the full weekend.
