The 2015 Lincoln MKC also was named Luxury Crossover Vehicle by TAWA.

“We are delighted that the Texas Auto Writers Association recognized the all-new 2015 Lincoln MKC as the best in two categories among an outstanding group of competitors,” said Kumar Galhotra, president of Lincoln. “In particular, to be named Crossover Utility Vehicle of Texas is a tremendous honor.”

The 2015 Lincoln MKC seamlessly blends performance, craftsmanship and technology to meet the needs of luxury buyers who want a more personal experience.

“These awards for MKC, following momentum from the all-new MKZ as the start of this latest chapter for Lincoln, demonstrate our plan is on the right track,” said Galhotra. “We’re encouraged that our latest vehicle has been recognized so soon after its debut at such an important and influential event. This great news, coupled with the recent arrival of the dramatically refreshed 2015 Lincoln Navigator, show Lincoln’s focus on delivering outstanding vehicles for the luxury customer.”

The Lincoln MKC is the second of four all-new Lincoln vehicles due by 2016. With a powerful, efficient all-EcoBoost® engine lineup complemented by an array of premium amenities and technologies prioritizing comfort and convenience, Lincoln MKC targets a growing audience of luxury consumers with unique needs.

Athletically graceful exterior, premium interior

The sleek, sculpted body, high beltline and low shoulders create a sturdy, athletic presence, enhanced by a low center of gravity for responsive handling and cornering stability. At the rear, a distinctive wraparound liftgate combines form with function in a fluid design. Created by a hydroforming process, the result is a clean appearance, free of typical lines and joints, with a wide opening for easy access to the cargo area.

Throughout the cabin, available open-pore wood trim, door-panel stitching, and exclusive Bridge of Weir® Deepsoft leather-trimmed seats accentuate Lincoln MKC’s elegance and grace. Deepsoft leather is a non-embossed, chromium-free leather that undergoes a 16-hour softening process to give it a supple, natural feel.

Introducing the 2.3-liter: The newest EcoBoost engine

The available 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder achieves 285 horsepower and 305 lb.-ft. of torque with 93-octane fuel. It has an EPA-estimated rating of 18 mpg city/26 mpg highway/21 mpg combined. The standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost delivers 240 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque, the most torque per liter in its class. The EPA-estimated rating is 20 mpg city/29 mpg highway/23 mpg combined (front-wheel drive).

Thoughtful technology enhances the experience

Available Lincoln Drive Control customizes the driving experience to deliver an exhilarating ride. Lincoln Drive Control consists of continuously controlled damping, electric power-assisted steering and active noise control. Drivers can select either Sport or Comfort mode, as well as the standard Normal setting.

The Lincoln MKC offers always-on, built-in connectivity through an available embedded modem. Via a smartphone app that communicates with the vehicle, the available MyLincoln Mobile™ app gives Lincoln MKC owners the ability to start, lock, unlock and locate their vehicle, as well as schedule a remote start.

The 2015 Lincoln MKC is built at Louisville Assembly Plant in Kentucky and has a starting MSRP of $33,995, which includes destination and delivery charges.
