Chiquita board rejects sweetened Cutrale-Safra takeover bid

Chiquita‘s board has reiterated its recommendation that shareholders back a pending deal with Fyffes, saying the new Cutrale-Safrabid isn’t adequate and isn’t in the best interest of shareholders.
