Brandon Hall Honors SumTotal Customers Praxair and McAfee with Talent and Learning Excellence Awards

SumTotal Systems, LLC, a Skillsoft company and a leading provider of next-generation HR solutions, today announced the company and its customers, Praxair, Inc., and McAfee, earned gold and silver excellence awards, respectively, from Brandon Hall Group.

In a joint submission for the 2014 Brandon Hall Excellence Awards, SumTotal and Praxair (NYSE: PX) won gold in the “Best in Talent Management Technology Implementations” category; Praxair is the largest industrial gases company in North and South America and one of the largest worldwide. In the second joint submission, McAfee and SumTotal took silver for “Best Use of Learning and Talent Technologies” for sales and marketing; McAfee, part of Intel Security, is recognized as the world’s largest dedicated security technology company.

McAfee earned kudos for transforming its sales kickoff training to improve user experience, reduce training time, and increase compliance. The company used SumTotal’s learning and analytics solutions to incorporate gamification to make learning more fun and engaging and to provide real-time data to leaders to encourage employee participation. As a result, on-time completions jumped from 75 percent in 2012 to 99 percent in 2013, and user satisfaction ratings climbed from 3.5 in 2012 to 4.5 in 2013 on a five-point scale.
