Belle La Vie Home

Maricopa, Arizona - Today, most entrepreneurs are looking for funding so that they can improve mankind by inventing a newer type of technology or increasing the usability of an older one. Belle La Vie Home would be more old fashioned, unchangeable, and will be around for years without decreasing in its value. It is a nursing facility that will offer its elderly residents a sense of dignity.

According to ACL, in 2009 there were 39.6 million people in the US who were 65 years or older and by 2030 it is estimated to increase to 72.1 million. Although it is assumed that there would be enough long term care centers to accompany the rising number of elderly, not every nursing home is suited for every person.

While looking for information about the growth of the elderly population, YouTube had 144,000 videos pertaining to elderly abuse/neglect. According to the National Center on Elder Abuse, over 39 million citizens in the United States are aged 65 and older and of that total, more than 7.6% reported they had suffered from some sort of elderly abuse. Surprisingly, 90% of those abusers were family members, most often the adult children, spouses, partners, and others.

With the nursing home chains growing, it is believed that the quality of care is declining. Nurses who work for these larger establishments experience heavier workloads due to four main reasons: there is an increased demand for nurses, inadequate supply of nurses, reduced staffing and mandatory overtime, and monetary compensation. These four factors affect direct patient care leading to medication errors, negligence, increased infections, and personality conflicts.

We are asking that you please help fund the Belle La Vie Home Campaign of $300,000.00, a smaller and more intimate retirement retreat. Here the benefits would include a lower patient-to-staff ratio, regardless of the patients physical or mental status, they will be treated with respect, there will be activities offered suited for the patients age, meals will be served in a timely manner and staff will take into consideration the residents ethnic and cultural backgrounds, they will have the option to have Belle La Vie furnish their room or bring in some furniture from their home, hallways and doorways will be kept clutter free to maintain a safe environment, and families would be encouraged to visit anytime day or night to see there is nothing to hide.

It does not matter if you donate $1 dollar or $10,000 dollars, we appreciate your generosity. Mother Teresa said, “If you can’t feed a hundred people, then just feed one.”
