UK accounting watchdog studying Tesco statements

LONDON, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Britain's accounting watchdog, the Financial Reporting Council, said it was scrutinising supermarket Tesco's announcement on accounting irregularities as it decides whether to take enforcement action.
